I have been pondering what is a good christian?
We go to church, pray, do our quiet time. We lend a helpling hand. We study the word of God. I guess we are.
What will make us great christian? or better written as great followers of christ?

Martha's a good follower but, paraphrasing our Lord, "Dont' stop Mary, she has chosen the better..."

Gosh, who's ever good? grace lar... ;)
Jesus entered the world to serve. We can enter our jobs, our homes,
our churches. Servanthood requires no unique skill or seminarydegree. Regardless of your strengths, training, or church tenure. We live because He lived in us. Do not live in the eyes of men but the creator who created all things. It is doing the unnoticed that the Master notice you.
There is no good or bad. There is only obedient children. Just imagine if we are all true and obedient to Christ. There won't be any heartache for the Lord.
Keep your eyes on the Lord and learn to rest in His presence. His Grace is sufficient for you.
If we were to analyse puritan-istically (if there's such a word)
A Bad Christian would be an Oxymoron.. right?
So a Good Christian.. would be an overstatement ;> heh heh
That's taking things at it's purests state.. but we aren't pure and we aren't perfect.
A good witness of Christ would be better? :P
On being a Christian.. refer to Purpose Driven Life
We were planned for God’s pleasure, so your first purpose is to offer real worship.
We were formed for God’s family, so your second purpose is to enjoy real fellowship.
We were created to become like Christ, so your third purpose is to learn real discipleship.
We were shaped for serving God, so your fourth purpose is to practice real ministry.
We were made for a mission, so your fifth purpose is to live out real evangelism.
And I think we need to live it out in that order.. and supposed to live each of it out intrinsically..
Our worship entirely unto God
Our fellowship to love each other
Our leader & discipleship is only unto Christ
Our ministry to build up each other in the body of Christ
Our mission to share Christ as we have experienced Him.
It's a lot to do with the book a lot of us have read.. anyways.. just my 2 cents.. may write more later..
My gfren chided me for putting in the "2 cents" part.. she says.. you shouldn't be little your convictions and your beliefs.. say them with assurance and confidence. ;D
so i say.. it comes from my heart.
